Re Redland - no one was given an opportunity to address the program's issues or they would not have gone anywhere - the Redland youth program is not affiliated with or sponsored by redland
How does a wrestling own website not post the results of it's own year end championship tournament, but instead has video of Dan Gable working out in his "Rocky gym" as it's featured attraction?! Regarding the Red Land debacle, it will all work itself out once the parents of the kids impacted by the mess over there decide where their kids wrestle come middle and high school. Speaking of which, isn't it about time for a coaching change there at RL? Strong elementary program, a JR high team that kicked some tail this year, yet a total joke (and losing record) year in year out for how many years now? Hopefully RL and Cedar Cliff end up combining like they are proposing and Cedar Cliff's HS coaching staff will get their hands on all that combined talent and actually DO something with it.
To Disappointed or anyone else who wasn't happy with the tournament this year;
I understand the bout sheets weren't updated and the individual trophies weren't up to par from years past. I also understand that the school facilities aren't up to what we have been used to in years past. But I applaud Cedar Cliff for stepping up and giving us a venue this year. The tournament ran very smoothly and they made adjustments to give the wrestlers a breather between matches toward the end.
Regarding Redland, that is a school issue, and the onus shouldn't be placed on CPWA. We certainly missed Biglerville, Redland, and Harrisburg this year, but the issue is with those teams and not the league as a whole.
Some people seem to be a bit spoiled, and need to understand that all the petty things need to be set aside and the bigger picture needs to seen. We saw a lot of great matches, the kids had a great day, and the sport of wrestling in D3 has a VERY bright future in the years ahead. if everyone focuses on the sport and the kids, we can make this whole league that much stronger.
To Darren and his staff, excellent work.

To wrestling mom 2. If Red Land has a youth program then the kids should not get to wrestle at other schools. Suck it up and represent your school. Just because you are unhappy with coaching or not having a power house team doesn't give you the right to go wherever you want to wrestle. I hope they didn't get to wrestle in the CPWA. All you're teaching the kids is to run away when things aren't going the way you want. Fix the problem at your school.
are you going to be posting results from the CPWA tournament? thank you coach Eason
Great Tournament. Where are the results?
Very disappointed with the way the tournament was run. Bout sheets weren't update. To many kids given bye rounds when they could be wrestling each other. It seemed if you where connected you had an easier day. And I say all of this as a parent of a champion. CD hosted a much better run tournament.
Thank you for a great CPWA Tournament yesterday. Cedar Cliff was a great host and there was some outstanding wrestling. The competition was fierce and the sportsmanship was reasonable. Thanks again.
I am petitioning all local wrestling coaches, parents, and supporters to protest the banning of former Red Land wrestlers from the CPWA tournament. Dozens of wrestlers left Red Land after last season. Some to Cedar Cliff, some to Northeastern, some to private mat clubs. Solely because of their drop in enrollment and the loss of wrestlers to other teams, Red Land Youth Wrestling has refused multiple requests to "release" these children to wrestle next weekend. Let's remember that this is about elementary school students, not bruised egos.
why don't any of the buttons at the top work?
Wondering where the CPWA forms are located?
This a test....
